Highlighting women in the mobile arena, APWT (Asian Professional Women in Tech) is proud to host a technology and networking event - an evening of inspiration and innovation through a panel discussion with amazing women who are successful entrepreneurs and leaders in this space. They have devoted their domain expertise in the various stages of design, development, launch and commercialization of different mobile applications. Come, hear their stories and learn from their experiences how they have been able to turn challenge into opportunity and problems into solutions.

Georgi Dagnall, CEO, Geogad
Geogad provides internet travel content platform that distributes audio- and video-based self-guided tours of popular tourist destinations. During her time at Geogad, Dr. Dagnall has become proficient in audio and video content delivery over multiple channels and mobile devices. She hosts the Informal Android Developer Meetup in Silicon Valley. Her wide background in computer systems and languages includes HTML, CSS, javascript, AJAX, Java, J2EE, Postgresql, C, and C++ among others. Previously she worked in both R&D and technical marketing in the cable TV optical systems division of Harmonic, Inc. She received her PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Bess Ho, mobile developer with 10 apps in the app stores and speaker at Web 2.0
Bess Ho is an UI architect and mobile engineer with a strong web analytic and consumer behavior background. She has published over 10 apps within a year in iPhone and Nokia App stores as a one-woman team. She is a consulting adviser for Global Health Research Foundation, non-profit healthcare organization after getting involved in CrisisCamp relief efforts in 2010 Haiti Earthquake. Her concept design won the Healthcare category at iPhone Dev Camp 2009.

Natalie Jo, VP of Marketing and Customer Experience, Mobile Money Ventures
Natalie leads the marketing and customer experience strategy for MMV where she brings strategic marketing expertise in both financial services and technology. Prior to MMV, Natalie led strategic marketing programs at financial service companies such as WaMu, Visa and JPMorgan Chase. Before moving her focus into the financial service industry, she worked for tech firms in Silicon Valley focusing on CRM and interactive marketing initiatives. Early in her career, Natalie worked at Mitsubishi Electronics America where she managed B2B marketing for GPS, biometrics, and 3D graphics chip sets in the New Business Development Group.

Kathleen McMahon, Katie is an executive at SoundHound Inc.(formerly Melodis), responsible for revenue and user base expansion of SHI's mobile music and voice technologies, as well as management across product development and marketing. Prior to SoundHound, Katie was VP, BizDev, at Shazam. Prior to Shazam, she founded Westport Communications Inc., a niche mobile virtual network operator based in Tokyo. Prior to Westport, Katie worked with the executive management team at Japan Communication Inc. (JCI) on special projects including IPO preparations and investor relations.
She was named by Mobile Entertainment as one of the “Top 50 Women” in mobile content. In 2002, she was recognized as the first western women to launch a technology company in Japan. She holds a BA from the U. of Virginia.

APWT (Asian Professional Women in Tech) is devoted to raise the awareness of the contribution of Asian women in the success of Silicon Valley through our technology and professional events to enable networking and sharing of our experiences.
