Celebrate Mexican Wolf Awareness Weekend at the El Paso Zoo. Learn all about the critically endangered Mexican wolf and how you can help wolves survive in the wilds of Southwest U.S and Mexico. The Zoo is currently home to three female Mexican wolves. El Paso Zoo visitors will have howling good time looking at bio-facts, a radio collar and paw prints. Children can color wolf pictures to take home. Enter the Wolf Howling Contest at 11:30 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. each day - there are three age brackets to compete in for the "wolfiest" howl! Listen to live bands. Local music performances include students from the Socorro ISD.
