Nazareth College’s radio station WNAZ The Pulse presents Pick in My Pocket, a fundraiser for VH1 Save the Music Foundation on Friday, April 1 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). This all-ages concert takes place in the Forum of the Otto A. Shults Community Center at Nazareth College, 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y., 14618. This event is open to the public. Headlining the show will be singer-songwriter Garrison Starr, who has recorded several full-length albums and EPs, including The Girl That Killed September (2007) and Relive (2010). Her music has been featured on an episode of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, CW Network’s Life Unexpected, and MTV’s The Hills.
Nazareth student performers at the show will include Sarah Banker, Cammy Enaharo, Eleanor Poore, Eric Stevens, and others. Their work will be included on the album Pick in My Pocket, featuring original compositions as well as cover songs. All recording, mixing, and production work for Pick in My Pocket was done on campus by Nazareth students. The album will be released on Friday, March 25, with copies available for sale at the event.
