Wizard Week October 25, 2008

One of the most popular events in our calendar makes a welcome return for 2008. Your ticket allows you freedom to travel all day on the 'Wizard Express' steam train between Alresford and Alton stations.
Make sure you arrive early so you get the chance to see and do everything!
See below for all the activities happening during the event.

Alresford Station
• See Mr Wizard's FREE puppet shows in the Old Goods Shed
Show times:
12 noon 'Magic Fun show'
2pm 'The Dark Side'
Limited seats available - doors close at beginning of each show.
• Fancy dress competition. Arrive dressed up and enter the best Wizard or Hallowe'en costume competition in the Old Goods Shed every day at 1:30pm.
• Lucky dip (small charge applies) outside the gift shop.
Ropley Station
• The 'Berkley Owls' return again this year (as seen on TV). For a small charge you can hold a real owl or have your photo taken with them - all proceeds go towards the care of these rescue animals. Also FREE impromptu displays throughout the day at Ropley (subject to availability & weather).
• Hampshire Bat Group return with their educational display and children's activities. You may also see a live bat on some days (subject to availability and hibernation!)
• See the Besom Broomstick maker outside this station from Weds 29th Oct to Sat 1st Nov. He will also be selling brooms.
Medstead & Four Marks Station
• Stop here to see the Portsmouth Reptile & Amphibian Society who will join us on Sat 1st & Sun 2nd November. Have your photograph taken with their wonderful selection of amphibians and reptiles!
• Stop here also at this quiet station to enter the FREE colouring-in and spell writing competitions. Children can also colour in a scary mask to take home!
Alton Station
• Listen to the 'Tales Of Strange Happenings In Alton' at 12:30pm and 2:30pm
