With Bravery and Distinction: the African American Journey in Sea, Air and Space July 1, 2012

This 90-minute tour celebrates the accomplishments of little-known African-Americans who were pioneers in the areas of sea, air and space. The tour will lead you back in time, highlighting many inspirational stories of men and women who heroically broke through barriers, paving the way for future generations. This tour is handicap accessible but does require long periods of walking and standing. The Intrepid Museum offers seating along the hangar and flight deck levels.
