The Choral Project, the critically acclaimed 45-voice Bay Area vocal ensemble, and the San José Chamber Orchestra, a professional string orchestra, will collaborate December 9 - 11 in a program that features a rich diversity of musical treats for winter.
Selections include Arvo Pärt's monumental "Te Deum," J.S. Bach's masterpiece "Singet dem Herrn" (Motet No. 1), "Villancicos para Cuerdas" for string orchestra by Michael Touchi, as well as a collection of carols from around the globe. The concert will close with The Choral Project's traditional setting of "Silent Night" with orchestra and an audience sing-along. Barbara Day Turner of the San José Chamber Orchestra and Daniel Hughes of The Choral Project will conduct the concerts.
