Pianist Tom Grant will head an all-star line-up of musicians to benefit Potluck in the Park, a 19-year-old all-volunteer non-profit that feeds 400-600 hungry people every Sunday, rain or shine, 52 weeks per year in O’Bryant Square Park.
Grant began playing for the Potluck Christmas dinner over 10 years ago. Grant saw people he’d known from the past...fellow musicians with health problems or just bad luck.
“I was deeply touched by the gratitude of the recipients and the kindness of the Potluck volunteers and staff, they have inspired me for many years.” said Grant.
The benefit concert will feature two sets of music with Grant and friends; Jeff Frankel on drums, Dave Captein on bass and vocalists Jackie Nicole, Shelly Rudolph, Marilyn Keller, Jessie Marquez, Toni Lincoln, Richard Arnold and vocalists/pianists Ray Bushbaum and Mac Potts and Tom Grant on piano.
A silent and live auction including a trip to Bali, elegant jewelry and an Oregon coast getaway will be interspersed throughout the evening.
General Admission is $45 and includes wine, beer and a light supper. VIP tickets at $100 include a private reception with Tom Grant, artist CD’s, open bar and fine foods
