Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) opens its 19th season with its annual Winter Tap JAMboree featuring the Chicago premiere of the documentary 'The Wonder Kids,' the inspiring story of a tiny dance studio that set out to save the art form of tap dancing, which not only produced many of the world's greatest dancers, but saved the lives of thousands of inner-city kids in the process. Narrated by legendary hoofer Dick Van Dyke and featuring Savion Glover, Debbie Allen and other tap greats, the film earned the prestigious Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the New York International Film and Video Festival in 2008. Proceeds benefit CHRP's Leo Harris Tap Scholarship program.
