Join us for a winemaking walkabout and tasting! On Monday, October 15, Brooklyn Winery Co-Founder John Stires will give you an insider's look at our Williamsburg wine production facility where we make premium small batch wines. He'll talk you through the winemaking process while showing you the actual equipment we use -- and at each stop along the way, you'll get to taste a recently-released Brooklyn Winery wine (six wines in all) and munch on snacks.
Here are a few highlights of this walkabout:
Behind-the-scenes peek at one of NYC's only urban wineries
Intro on how to taste wine
Learn about crushing and pressing grapes
Discuss the wine aging process
Find out the difference between the production process for red, white, and rosé wines
Learn how two wines made from the same grape grown in the same vineyard can taste completely different from one another
Cost is $50 per person and includes snacks plus a taste of six limited edition Brooklyn Winery wines. The tour and tasting will last two hours and will be partially seated, so please expect to stand for some of the duration (comfy shoes are recommended). It gets chilly in our wine production space, so we also recommend bringing a sweater or jacket to keep warm.
