Wine Boot CampĀ® is the ultimate experience for wine lovers. Wine lovers have the opportunity to work hands-on in the vineyard and the cellar under the tutelage of top winemakers and viticulturists. Wine workshops and tastings of outstanding wines are an integral part of the program.
After meeting at a specified location in Sebastopol, California, recruits are transported to one of the unique Valdez Family Vineyards for vineyard maneuvers. The recruits will work in the vineyard under the direction of Ulises Valdez harvesting grapes and follow the newly picked crop to the winery. After crushing the grapes, attendees with enjoy a cellar tour, tasting, interactive wine workshop, and lunch paired with the wonderful wines of Valdez Family Vineyards. The afternoon and evening mission will be at Benovia, producers of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from prestigious sites along the cold and windswept California coastline. Winemaker Mike Sullivan and General Manager Bob Mosby will guide the recruits through a cellar mission and wine blending exercise where each attendee will blend their own wine. A wine pairing dinner follows.
