Chicago Human Rhythm Project celebrates National Tap Dance Day with Windy City Rhythms May 22 at 7:30 p.m and May 23 and 24 at 8 p.m. at the Vittum Theater, 1012 N. Noble in Chicago. These performances will feature 2008 Artist in Residence Guillem Alonso and his Spanish ensemble Tap Olé, co-presented by Thelma Goldberg and the Tap Legacy Foundation in Boston. Also on the program are the Huntley Hoofers, a group of more than 100 women older than age 39 from Huntley, Illinois, directed by Sandy Oldham; JustLisTeN, directed by Tre Dumas; Julie Cartier’s new ensemble, The Cartier Collective; Reggio “the Hoofer” McLaughlin; BAM!, directed by Lane Alexander; Jimmy Payne, Jr.; and Nico Rubio’s IllNoise.
