Wilmington Chocolate Festival Showcase February 7, 2009

There's lots of sweets and activities to sink you teeth into at the 7th Annual Wilmington Chocolate Festival. Held on the weekend prior to Valentine's Day as a benefit for the local department of aging, this popular and fun weekend event is definitely for "CHILDREN OF ALL AGES". Enjoy samples from over 35 of the region's finest purveyors of chocolates.... fudge, truffles, bon bons, cookies, brownies, cakes, ice cream, popcorn, chocolate-covered cherries, strawberries, bananas, potato chips, pretzels, oreos, and sunflower seeds. Be sure to try "Pig Lickers" or "Chocolate Bacon Brittle"!!!!! All the rage with connesseurs of chocolate and curosity-seekers, they are a combination of bacon and chocolate. You don't want to miss them!

The fun doesn't stop there. There's Raffles, Prizes, Balloons, Clowns, Magic, Roving Characters and fantastic activities for the kid in all of us. Visit our "Play Date" Children's Area and do some Valentine's shopping. Check out the great Chocolate selections, gift baskets, and boxes at the Exhibitor booths, the delightful handmade items in our "Upscale Boutique" and/or enjoy some Tastings of Wine in "The Vineyard" while you enjoy Chocolate Spa Treatments.
