On September 20th and 21st, Willy Street will once again become the city’s largest block party with seven music stages, a multitude of impromptu street performances, fantastic foods and drinks from across the globe, fabulous arts and crafts, a legendary parade and an irresistible community raffle with over 200 prizes.
Saturday, September 20 2:00-9:00 pm - Willy Warm-up: on the 900 block of Williamson Street. This year, there will be 3 stages; the Kickoff Stage, a DJ stage, and a brand-new Folk stage for those who like to look, listen, and most importantly, dance, dance, dance. All the great food and original crafts that visitors expect from the traditional Sunday event is on hand, just in smaller doses.
Sunday, September 21 11:00am-7:00 pm – on the 800-1000 blocks of Williamson Street. Festivities begin with the wild, colorful and eclectic parade sponsored by the Greater Williamson Area Business Association at 11:00 am, and end at 7:00 pm after the much anticipated raffle drawing. There will be 150 vendors lining the street and five fantastic music stages throughout the day. The music will include local and regional bands, as well as prominent artists from all over the world. For a fantastic day of great music, old friends, new friends, great food, and crafts from around the world - the Willy Street Fair is the place to be. Voted Madison’s Favorite Local Festival by Isthmus readers in 2007.
The Willy Street Fair is a major fundraiser for Common Wealth Development and Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center.
