The 33rd Williamsburg Scottish Festival and Celtic Celebration will delight festival goers with Highland sports, pageantry, competitions, history, heritage, and more. This year, the National Fiddle Competition, the Scottish Country Dance Competition, and the Virginia State Tug-of-War Competition make their debut. Highland dance, pipe and drum, harp, and Highland Games are all part of the competition line up.
The festival is centered around the clans and families of Scotland and provides a marketplace, entertainment, and dining for all those who come to meet and greet at festival time. This year, the Celtic Heritage Village opens with the Irish as their first residents.
Albannach, The Brandywine Harp Orchestra, The Havers, Dr. John Turner, Carl Peterson and more will entertain.
