A partnership between AFI and the Skirball, the Cinema’s Legacy series features cinema’s most innovative artists who choose a movie to screen and discuss firsthand the great films and filmmakers who have influenced their careers. Be there on May 7 when director William Friedkin (The French Connection, The Exorcist) takes the stage to present the 1948 classic The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre starring Humphrey Bogart. A Q&A with Friedkin precedes the screening. Mingle before the program—sandwiches, salads and lighter fare, as well as wine and other beverages, will available for purchase beginning at 7:00 p.m.
