Wildfire Home Protection Seminar April 25, 2009

This is a free seminar for people interested in protecting their homes and family from the devastation of wildfires. The focus will be on how to prevent home ignition by economically retrofitting your home with fire retardants, fire and ember proof vents, and vegetation modification. This is also an ideal venue for people interested in staying to defend their property instead of leaving early. A wildfire home ignition expert and veteran firefighter will explain how wildfire behavior, fire department strategy, and public misinformation contributes to structural losses during wildfires. Product demonstrations and vendors will be available to inform and answer questions.
