Do you love to Sew?
Placer Nature Center is looking for volunteers to help create some fun nature-inspired costumes for kids!
Together, we will create a Wild Things Costume Box for children to dress up as some of their favorite local wild things. These costumes will include local wildlife, native plants and fungi too!
The first Wild Things Sewing Circle Costume Task Force will meet at Placer Nature Center on Saturday, December 17th from 11am to 1pm.
Tea and coffee will be provided. We will be brainstorming on the types of costumes to make, design, storage, safety, and timelines. Feel free to bring a lunch to picnic in the nature center’s courtyard afterward!
If you have any questions regarding the Wild Things Costume effort, please feel free to the Wild Things Sewing Circle project coordinator Kara Ramos at Kara@placernaturecenter.org or call at (916) 599-6624.
This is a volunteer task force, new volunteers are welcome at any time!
