Wild Rice Festival September 18, 2009

Sixth annual family-friendly celebration of wild rice, Native American culture, and Minnesota’s fall season. Fundraising pancake breakfast with delicious wild rice sausages and wild rice pancakes starts at 8 am; other foods including Native American fry bread go on sale later. Activities run from around 9 am to 4 pm, with free entertainment, featuring the popular local Native American dance group, Native Pride, plus wild ricing and craft demonstrations, exhibits and activities including a hand-on cider press machine and Native American games and other activities. Fundraising silent auction, free popcorn, store, and more! And, as always, free admission.
