Werner Herzog's experimental Sci-Fi feature film
Wild Blue Yonder has finally got general release in
the UK! Featuring Brad Dourif (who you may
remember for his cameo as Raymond in Blue Velvet),
as an alien who has travelled aeons to reach Earth
after his planet has become uninhabitable.The story
is illustrated by stunning stock footage of NASA
missions, diving expeditions, physics lectures, ancient
news reels, and haunting poetic music. In a similar
vein to his early work Fata Morgana, this film aims
for a poetry that normal cinema hasn't the patience
with, which we think makes it great.
