Wiener 500 DC Dachshund Races - $500 in cash prizes!
Celebrate Oktoberfest in a silly way and help us raise funds for Paws Southwest and the building of a dog park in the Southwest neighborhood. Saturday, September 22nd, 11 am to 2 pm, join us for a fun day of racing dogs, dog contests, music, beer and food.
This is a fun race, the “track” is just 50 feet long, this is all about being silly and having fun with other dog lovers! The champion will take home a trophy and $150 cash! Second place is $100, third place is $50. All participants will receive a goody bag which include different items from the sponsors. Everyone – including dogs - is welcome to join us at Cantina Marina afterwards for the official post-race party. Event admission is free, but there is a one-time $20 entry fee to race your dog.
