'Widowers' Houses' by George Bernard Shaw, is a dark comedy, written and set in 1892. It is about a young doctor who struggles with ethics when he learns that his wealthy, future father-in-law is a slum-lord. Part farce, part family drama and part social inquiry, it infuses the examination of the politics of housing for the poor with a contemporary setting and a hip-hop score.
