Canada's wireless market is protected from foreign competition. Today, just three companies dominate the Canadian market, and as a result Canadians pay higher wireless costs than Europeans, Asians, and Americans. In the mid-90�s Canada led the world in wireless usage, we now rank 29th out of 30 OECD countries. As Ottawa holds a critical new wireless spectrum auction this fall, Mr. P�ladeau has a plan to deliver more wireless choice and better services at lower costs.
