Public Lecture by Professor Steve Jones, University College London
Steve Jones is Professor of Genetics in the Department of Biology at University College London. A highly respected researcher and university lecturer, he is also an acclaimed populariser of science and won the Aventis Prize for Science Books (then known as the Rhone-Poulenc Prize) in 1994 for 'The Language of the Genes'. He also writes a regular science column for the Daily Telegraph and has made numerous television and radio appearances. In 1997 he was awarded the Royal Society's Michael Faraday Prize - the UK's foremost award for communicating science to the public.
