These days it seems like gas prices will never stop rising, every day a brand new record is set for the price of crude oil and every day we end up paying for more at the pump. The gas prices by state can widely vary depending on that state's emission standards, some states such as California have very tight emission standards and as a result California gas prices are much higher than the national average.
