March 4th – 6th Laughs Comedy Spot in Kirkland, WA welcomes the razor sharp whit of comedian, actress, and writer Whitney Cummings. As a comedian she appears regularly on Chelsea Lately and she recently wrote, co-executive produced, and performs stand up on the comedy series Live! Nude! Comedy! for Showtime, which aired in July of 2009. In 2007 she was named one of Variety's Top 10 Comics to watch and in 2009 she was named one of Entertainment Weeklys "Comedy Stars of Tomorrow." As an actress she recently co-starred in the Sony feature "Made of Honor" with Patrick Dempsey, Fox's “House, M.D.,” and is starring in a Fox pilot that was directed and produced by Ben Stiller in the summer of 2009. Whitney writes for numerous TV shows, including Comedy Central Roasts and was a roaster in the 2009 Roast of Joan Rivers. She has also performed on HBO’s Down and Dirty with Jim Norton, NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly, Comics Unleashed, and NESN's Comedy All-Stars after getting her start as a series regular on MTV’s PUNK’D.
