White Elephant Sale. WES was green before it was politically correct—the sale has taken one person’s trash and recycled it into someone else’s treasure for 50 years. Proceeds from the sale, sponsored by the Oakland Museum Women's Board, support many of the museum's exhibitions and educational programs. The
White Elephant Sale warehouse is at 333 Lancaster St. (at Glascock), Oakland.
