Whistler Art Workshops on the Lake: Beginner Acrylics with Janice Robertson July 27, 2009

This class will teach basic techniques in painting acrylics on canvas and is suitable for students at the beginner to intermediate level. Through demonstrations and one-on-one instruction, students will be introduced to underpainting, blocking in, opaque vs transparent colour, negative and positive painting, and glazing. The demonstrations will be landscape and the instructor will provide reference photos. Participants are also welcome to work from their own reference. There will be a group critique on the final day and students are welcome to bring work from home in any medium.
