Whiskies of the World Expo - Whisky University March 28, 2008

The 9th Annual WoW Expo begins our journey around the world of whiskies with the introduction of the all new Whisky University.

In addition to our usual line up of exciting seminars on Friday March 28th at Le Meridien Hotel, the Whisky University Courses will be special 2.5 hour long courses on focused topics rarely offered in a public forum. See the Courses and Seminars pages for schedule and details. Seating is all reserved and limited this year for all seminars and W.U. courses, so please book in early.

The first of the planned Whisky U. courses will be an indepth look at selecting casked whiskies and the art of blending to produce the perfect bottlings, taught by the much sought after, John Glaser of Compass Box. All whiskies other than single cask bottlings require blending and this art is thought by many experts to be the most important step in producing the best in single malts, vatted whiskies, Irish whiskey, blends and bourbons.

John will teach and attendees will learn to blend their own whiskies during this fascinating class. With major emphasis on the arts of nosing and tasting, John will share with you the talent which has won him the coveted International Whisky Innovator of the Year award 3 years in a row! John's engaging style of teaching and his profound passion for whisky are experiences no one should miss.
