Miller Outdoor Theatre presents Texas Southern University Professor Thomas Meloncon's "Where Were You In '65?" a musical drama that takes a young man, unaware of his history, on a nostalgic and magical journey to the year 1965, during the Civil Rights Movement.

In 1965 a loaf of bread was 20 cents, gasoline was 31 cents a gallon and the music was clean, innocent and inspirational. African-Americans were experiencing the second cultural offspring of the Harlem Renaissance – Black became beautiful, afro's replaced conks and Smokey Robinson could easily have run for President of the United States.

Free tickets for the covered seating area are available at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office on the day of the performance between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. There is a limit of four tickets per person over age 16, while they last.
