Trace the roots of the term “Cracker” back to its origins in Elizabethan England and explore this group of proud, fiercely independent Americans who have a deep love of their families, country, stories, and food. The Florida native was born in Marianna, Fla., in 1960. She is an award-winning author of four books including “The Cracker Kitchen: A Cookbook in Celebration of Cornbread-Fed, Down-Home Family Stories and Cuisine” that is part cookbook and part family memoir. 1-3 p.m., followed by a book signing.
