As America prepares for another presidential election year, this course looks back at what was surely a unique period in the history of the American republic. From mid-1974 until early 1977, neither the President nor Vice President had been elected. This course looks at the circumstances and events surrounding the presidency of Gerald Ford and how it all led to the election of the smiling man from Georgia, Jimmy Carter.
