Join us for a cabaret-style event set in 1934 Paris! "When Harlem Came to Paris" celebrates the artistry of the Harlem Renaissance with unscripted portrayals of figures from the era.
The event will feature food, drinks, live music and dancing and performances by: Josephine Baker, Count Basie, Marita Bonner, Bruce Nugent, Wallace Thurman and Bessie Smith.
There will also be a silent auction featuring era style visual art to raise money for the Alliance's ABEI community outreach program. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best 1930s attire and be ready for a memorable evening!
Attendees should call the Alliance at 202.234.7911 to purchase tickets.
