What's Wrong with This Picture?
3-hour CE Class
This is a fun course that uses funny pictures of improper home repairs taken from actual inspection reports. Students will learn what was done, what should have been done and what must be done now to correct the issue. Agents will learn what happens when seemingly small issues are ignored during initial construction. Agents will also learn why it is so importance of certain safety devices like TPR valves, electronic eyes and thermal expansions devices and using qualified companies for repairs, how improper repairs can lead to larger issues, and more. The class will discuss roof repairs, the average life-expectancies of different roofing products, and where roofs are most likely to leak, major foundation issues, why these issues must be addressed promptly, and different options for repairs. We will discuss when it's appropriate to call a structural engineer vs. a structural contractor, and why everyone charges something different to make repairs.
