"What's Love Got To Do With It?" Shame and Alienation in The Emotional / Relational World of Pop Song Lyrics. UCSB Sociologist Professor Tom Scheff will lead a discussion and maybe help us understand why our children, friends and neighbors are listening to music we don't like.

Saturday Jan.16th -- 2:30pm doors open, 3pm meeting starts in the Patio Room at Vista del Monte, 3775 Modoc Road, Santa Barbara (Las Positas exit off 101, midway between UCSB & SBCC). Organized by the Humanist Society of Santa Barbara -- everyone is welcome and $2 student or $5 general donations would be appreciated.
