What’s Coming for Buildings in the EU?
An update on the process to recast the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD)

Gergana Miladinova is a PhD graduate of CEU and has been working as a policy officer at the Directorate-General for Energy and Transport of the European Commission for the past two years. Her activities have been focusing on the coordination of the Commission’s activities related to EPBD and its recast, and she is currently a member of a task force on the EU’s new Energy Efficiency Action Plan.
The seminar is open to everybody, but primarily geared towards professionals from the buildings and construction sector as well as policy- and decision-makers related to this industry. Gergana Miladinova will cover the progress on the implantation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) as well as the ongoing process of its recast. The talk will be followed by an in-depth discussion on relevant subjects, including the European Parliament’s decision on mandating net zero energy new construction from 2019 under the EPBD.
