What the Fluff? September 30, 2006

Did you know that Marshmallow Fluff was invented in 1917 in Union Square, Somerville? Come celebrate the genius of Fluff creator Archibald Query in a tribute on September 30. You can join the festivities by mixing a gooey concoction for the the cooking contest or bubbling a brew for the science fair. While the judges taste and evaluate, kick up your heels to the Fluff-inspired tunes of The Patrons, Los Diablos and Paddy Saul. After, head over to SCAT and check out the Fluff Art exhibit featuring artists from around the country. And of course, we have fluffernutters at Sherman Cafe and Fluffy Chocolate Ice Cream by Toscanini to eat. For the over 21 set, whet your whistle with a Fluffachino at PAs Lounge or a Coney Island Men's Room at The Independent. We're celebrating a great American foodstuff and you don't want to miss out!
