Almaden Country School PSA Parent Ed speaker series will feature Dr. Linda Polin, Ph.D. who will be talking about the use of gaming and social media as a source of learning and connection.
What’s the attraction anyway? Gaming and social media is a significant part of the adolescent social experience. Linda will talk about how we, as parents, can use social media as a way of maintaining connection with our children, a way of staying ‘in touch’ with our children through adolescent transition when friends are more fun than parents.
Dr. Linda Polin is the Davidson Professor of Education and Technology at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP), where she serves as academic chair of the blended format (online and face-to-face) doctoral program in learning technologies.
