The Merchant's House Museum was home to the Tredwell family from 1835 to 1933 and is the city's only family home preserved intact -- both inside and out -- from the 19th century. This exhibition features seven period rooms and a historic garden, showing the daily life of a wealthy mid-19th century New York City family. It's almost as though the Tredwells were still living here.
