What is a City? Food in the City October 21, 2010

The Center for the Humanities invites you to join speakers from around the country and St. Louis in examining the place of food in cities through the lenses of history, public policy, social justice, social science, and personal lives. We’ll discuss food production, distribution, scarcity, safety, and enjoyment, looking at such cities as Chicago, Mexico City, and St. Louis. Conference presenters work in urban planning and development, health, ecology, farming and gardening, sociology and history, and, of course, eating.
