Westport Blues Pub Crawl September 15, 2005

Move over Blue Monday! On September 15th Thursday will take center stage as the ?bluest? day of the week when the annual Westport Blues Pub Crawl brings the finest in local blues to the best bars in Westport.

An admission fee of $10 gets you in the door at seven Westport establishments to sample the music of seven different blues bands. Start at any participating bar ? Harry?s, Mesa Wraps, Kelly?s, McCoy?s, Blayney?s, The Dark Horse Tavern or Harpo?s ? and spend your evening enjoying Westport hospitality. Refresh yourself with a cold beverage and hear the sounds of local favorites including The Norton?s, Levee Town, The Nace Brothers, 3-MOS, The Double Catch Blues Band, Salty Dawg Blues and others to be announced.

Your paid admission gives you the chance to play a little blues of your own: Each admission ticket will automatically be entered into a drawing to win an Ibanez Guitar from Big Dudes Music City. Want more chances to win? Kansas City Blues Society volunteers with be at each bar with additional raffle tickets for sale at $1 each, 6 for $5 and 12 for $10 to increase your chances of winning.

As in years past, a portion of the proceeds from the Westport Blues Pub Crawl will go the Kansas City Blues Society, helping to keep the blues alive. Tickets are available in advance through the Kansas City Blue's Society or at participating bars as well as the night of the Crawl.
