Westborough Players’ Club Presents “Snoopy!!!” November 7, 2009

Westborough Players Club inaugurates its 73rd season with its Children's Theater production of “Snoopy!!!” A musical sequel to “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” the show features the antics of Peanuts favorites Lucy, Charlie, Sally, Linus, Peppermint Patty, Woodstock and, of course, Snoopy.

The production will be on stage at the Gibbons Middle School, Fisher Street in Westborough, Nov. 6, 7:30 p.m.; Nov. 7, 7:30 p.m.; and Nov. 8, 2 p.m.

Only the "Peanuts" gang knows how to delight an audience as thoroughly as they do in Charles Schulz' musical creation Snoopy!!!, the musical sequel to You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. As the curtain rises, the cast joins together in the first of many delightful numbers :'The World According to Snoopy.' The series of vignettes, songs and dances which follows, involves the audience in the entertaining world of these five-year-olds and their furry friend. You will meet old friends Charlie Brown, Sally, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Linus, Woodstock and, of course, Snoopy. One of the tuneful highlights of the production is the rousing number,' Don't Be Anything Less Than Everything You Can Be,' which encourages the audience with its advice: "don't be a feather/ be a bird and fly." Snoopy!!! deserves each of its three exclamation points. Based on the world renowned "Peanuts" comic strip, it delights every audience with the quiet knowledge and wit of its characters. Additional musical numbers include 'The Big Bow-Wow,' ' Where Did That Little Dog Go,' 'Clouds' and 'Daisy Hill.'
