LA Artcore and 516 Arts (Albuquerque, New Mexico) are pleased to announce a collaborative joint exhibition in both Albuquerque and Los Angeles, featuring artists from diverse backgrounds and communities in our two western cities, featuring the works of Los Angeles artists Saúl Álvarez, Stefano Cossu (A.K.A. Le Industrie Invisibili), Mark Steven Greenfield, George Kalmar, Ehja Kang, Carlo Marcucci, Ramone Muñoz, Jon Nguyen, Sinan Leong Revell, Vincent Valdez, and Albuquerque artists Lea Denise Anderson, Laura Cobb, Sally Condon, Miguel Gandert, John Garrett, Aaron Karp, Orlando Leyba, Trevor Lucero, Yoshiko Shimano and Joshua Willis.
In addition, a video program titled "788.34", curated by Bryan Konefsky, and featuring the moving image art of artists Stephen Ausherman, Laura Bouza, Karen Hipscher, Shon Kim, Daniel Martinez, Patricia McInroy, Peter Rand will be presented ongoing throughout this exhibition held in both cities, (part of the annual Experiments in Cinema V.4.2 film festival held in Albuquerque). According to MapQuest, 788.34 is the total mileage that separates New Mexico and Los Angeles.
An open house reception will be held on Saturday afternoon, April 25, 3 to 5 p.m. with live music performed by Darby Di Natale.
