West Berkeley Amtrak station bike locker and improvements dedication September 27, 2008

If you go, you may note 8 new Electronic bike lockers http://www.bikelink.org/ just installed with funding from the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA Measure B) and the East Bay Regional Park District's exquisite Interpretive Panels on both sides of the rail platform, in addition to Betsy Davids and John Wehrle's phenomenal poetry and art. Collectively the art and panels inform rail stop users of the rich history of the site and people of West Berkeley while drawing attention to the natural and cultural amenities of the surrounding area. These artistic, interpretive and bicycle storage improvements mark the final touches on $2M investment by the FHA, Caltrans, CCJPA and Agency in access and landscaping improvements to Berkeley's Capital Corridor Stop.
