West African Djembe Hand-drumming for Beginners, Workshop and Weekly Classes January 29, 2013

9 Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm. Weekly classes with Barbara Gail. Welcome all adults, motivated teens, and youth ages 10 and up w/ instructor permission. No musical experience needed. Learn to play the most popular hand-drum! We focus on hand technique, learning rhythm patterns, how to find your place in the beat, and playing as a polyrhythmic ensemble. Perfect for the raw beginner as well as folks with some exposure who seek instruction with a solid foundation. A positive experience for all! Note: Wanna check it out to see if it's right for you? You're welcome to pre-pay for the first class ($25, add $5 in-class drum rental if needed, applied to full tuition), before committing to the Series. Series price: $120.
