Wes "Scoop" Nisker returns to Maui to share his visionary monologue "Crazy Wisdom Saves the World Again!" filled with comedic insights, contemplative revelations, and the Buddhadharma. "Scoop" infuses this innovative dharmic "contemplative cocktail" mixing musical performances, stand up comedy and Dharma teachings. This infamous San Francisco cutting edge radio "front line" KSAN newscaster of the 60's - 80's known for his famous signature sign off "......and if you don't like the news, go out and make some of your own" is the Founder and Co-Editor of "Inquiring Mind."
A Buddhist meditation practitioner for over 35 years, Wes is on the Faculty at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and is a long time collaborator with Jack Kornfield. He leads meditations, silent retreats and shares the Buddhadharma teachings. Author of best selling books "Crazy Wisdom", "If You Don't Like the News Go Out / Make Some of Your Own", "The Big Bang, the Buddha and the Baby Boom" and "Buddha's Nature: A Practical Guide to Discovering Your Place in the Cosmos".
