Share a Wednesday evening with Wendy Woods. She'll be standing tall for the Fifth Ward on the stage of the Improv Inferno on Main Street Ann Arbor as the 'citizen' of Citizen Improv. Wendy serves on City Council and is contesting the Democratic mayoral primary in August.
Like all the citizens of CI, Coucilmember Woods will tell three five-minute 'stories' ... that is, a funny thing that happened to her or someone she knows, her thoughts on a particular issue in the news, her thoughts on life in general, life lessons she's learned, etc.
After each story, the members of the Citizen Improv cast do a series of improvised comedy scenes based on the story. The story serves as an inspiration for the scenes. The cast doesn't literally recreate the story, rather they take elements of the story and expand upon them.
