Welcome to the World of Wine January 29, 2009

Dine Magazine will be hosting a series of wine tasting classes at Forte in West Palm Beach. This is the first in the series. In the class, participants will learn:

* How to taste wine subjectively
* How to analyze wine
* How to order wine
* What to look for when ordering wine at a restaurant
* The importance of proper stemware

During the class, participants will taste a series of 5 different wines and will be served 2 canapes and some bread and cheese to complement the wine tasting.

The wines to be served in the class include:

* Lost Canyon 2006 Dutton/Morelli Lane Pinot Noir
* Hawkes 2004 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
* Derbes 2004 Russian River Chardonnay
* Cape Campbell 2008 Sauvignon Blanc
* Brutocao 2006 Hopland Ranch Zinfandel

In addition, the restaurant will be offering attendees a special dinner menu. $55 for a 3-course menu with a glass of wine with each course ($35 for a 3-course dinner without wine).
