Welcome back students, parents and friends.
The LEAD Executive team has put in many long hours of planning to make this year a wonderful and exciting year for parents and students. We have incorporated a number of new male only programs in addition to our traditional and signature programs. We have also expanded our volunteer base in order to add expertise to our already rich programs and events. Please see the following excerpts as many of the deadlines and start dates are fast approaching.
PARENTS NIGHT - 7:00pm, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 @ Norcross High School. On this night we will formally present our foundation and all of our programs to the general public. We will discuss our goals and aims as well as address any parental questions about us and our programs. In addition, we will collect any completed packets that were downloaded from the website. Please make your plans to attend and invite a friend or two.
BEAUTILLION and SCHOLARSHIP PROGAM - This year, the foundation is launching an intensive program exclusively for male students that extend the current leadership development program. This program will instill strong standards of culture, maturity, and sophistication in the lives of young Black men. The mission of the L.E.A.D. Beautillion Scholarship Ball is to secure scholarship funding and present career-seeking juniors and seniors to their local community as debonair, poised, gentlemen ready to move forward with the next chapter in their lives. Applications are online and are due by August 25th.
THE R.E.E.L. PROJECT - The program is designed for students in grades 6-11 (middle and high school young men) who are in need of academic, professional, and personal support through the vehicles of hands-on modules and workshops, practical applications, tutoring, and mentoring
