Have a weekend wonder at Underwater World Singapore (UWS) this June as you learn more about conservation of the ocean and its marine life with its holiday activities! Be among the first to welcome a new addition to the shark family at UWS, the Zebra Horn Sharks. These pint-sized sharks will fascinate you with their unique features such as the stout spine embedded in the leading edge of both dorsal fins.
Only for weekend visitors, Bookaburra Books’s storyteller Denise Tan will charm children with her marine stories as she shares tales of friendly characters like Gilbert the great white shark and young Emily who thinks she has a whale in her pond. After the storytelling, the children could continue to make crafts using recycled materials to encourage creativity in conservation.
On top of that, there will be street acts by roving magicians from Republic Polytechnic’s Magic Interest Group to ensure you and your family have a splashing time!
