WYCE at Wealthy Swing Night!

For WYCE's December Wednesdays at Wealthy series, we'll present two local bands putting a modern spin on classic swing styles.

We'll start off the evening with a live performance by Grand Rapids' own The Djangotones, a group of young gents who specialize in gypsy swing, following in the tradition of jazz guitar great Django Reinhardt.

Then, one of West Michigan's favorite jazz, swing and roots acts, Steppin' In It, will take the stage.

As Fred Kraus of Minor 7th magazine put it recently, "Steppin� In It conveys the wonder of the American spirit, but also its heartache... [T]raditional roots music is celebrated here by plaintive vocals and sweet harmonies, plus musicianship that is positively staggering."

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the music will start at 7:00. Tickets for WYCE's Swing Night with The Djangotones and Steppin In It' are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. This show is sponsored by the Black Rose Irish Pub with support from Ether LAN Portal.
